L & C successfully completed the cabling and various systems for the
move of a local flooring business to new premises. Work included mains
wiring, lighting, security including CCTV and IT. LCS is still working
with another SI partner on tenders for two large broadcast projects
one in the UK and one overseas.
Jan/Feb 2011
L & C are about to install a new access control system for a local
school and have been engaged in various other projects including
planning a large new IP based CCTV system upgrade for a local client
in the leisure industry. Working through SSVC Paul Longthorpe (LCS)
has been working on the TV distribution system on board a type 23
frigate for the Royal Navy in Devonport.
March/April 2011
LCS Systems has completed a new access control system for a local
primary school using products from Videx. Working with a local partner
LCS Systems has continued to expand an IT network using external CAT5
and wifi to allow a private client to record and monitor the wildlife
on their 16 acre country site. The system uses iCatcher Console 5.0
running on an HP Zeon Quadcore server with cameras from Axis and
Vivotek and IR illumination from Raytech. L & C has been working with
S Chapman Electrical contractors getting the electrical installations
and PAT testing up to date for some of its customers in the tourist
industry in readiness for the coming season.
May/June/July 2011
Working with partner Evans IT Services LCS Systems has continued to
expand its' portfolio of IP CCTV customers. This partnership has also
been designing and implementing commercial wifi solutions for local
clients. Recently completed was a mesh wifi network for a large luxury
hotel using products from Engenius. L&C have also been busy upgrading
and replacing security systems for some long standing local clients.
August/Sept/Oct
L&C continues to grow and support the IP CCTV side of the business and
has recently been looking at a solution for a local holiday park. Paul
Longthorpe, MD of LCS, is about a commence providing broadcast
engineering support services on contract to BBC World Service TV/Radio
in London and is
also looking at a possible broadcast project in Africa.
